Honk News (Dallas, TX) – According to court documents, Dallas rapper Yella Beezy was arrested and charged with capital murder in 2020 for the shooting death of fellow rapper Mo3 on a major freeway.
A Dallas County grand jury indicted 33-year-old Yella Beezy, whose true name is Markies Conway, on Tuesday for capital murder while remuneration. According to the indictment, Conway hired Kewon White to kill Mo3, whose real name was Melvin Noble.
Why prosecutors think Conway recruited White to shoot Noble, who also lived in Dallas, was not explained in the indictment.
On November 11, 2020, Noble, 28, was traveling on Interstate 35 in south Dallas when police said White pulled up to him and exited his car while brandishing a gun. According to officials, White fired at Noble as he exited his car and started to run south on the motorway. According to authorities, White shot Noble and a bystander who was inside a car. Noble passed away in a hospital, while the bystander lived.
Later, White and another guy, 32-year-old Devin Brown, were charged with Noble’s murder. Their cases pertaining to Noble’s passing are still unresolved. In 2022, White, 26, pleaded guilty to a charge of possessing a firearm by a convicted felon and was sentenced to almost nine years in federal prison in a different case.
Conway’s 2017 single “That’s On Me” and his 2019 collaboration with Quavo and Gucci Mane, “Bacc At It Again,” among his most well-known works.
Conway was shot three times while driving on a tollway in the Dallas suburb of Lewisville in October 2018 after someone drew up beside him and started shooting.
