Milwaukee — A adolescent from Illinois, last seen in Milwaukee, has been missing for ten days.
Olivia Hanson, 14, was last seen about 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 17, near 88th and Vienna. On Sunday, April 27, the Milwaukee Police Department announced that the missing alert had been elevated to critically missing.
There have been various leads, including one sighting in front of the Ambassador Hotel Milwaukee and another at an abandoned duplex at Layton and Greenfield. Nothing’s worked out.
Her mother, Virginia Attaway, is scouring Milwaukee with missing posters and following up on any leads she receives from people on the street.
This is every mother’s worst nightmare.
“We’ve been all over the city – and we’re not going to stop,” Attaway told the crowd. “I keep thinking about all these different scenarios. I am just afraid. Every day, she is in more danger.”
A man provided a tip, claiming to have been with Hanson for four days. Attaway claimed that prompted MPD to categorize her daughter as “critically missing.”
“There are no good intentions a man could have with a 14-year-old little girl.”
She stated that police later found and interviewed that individual. However, that was only two days ago.
