Corvette and Cadillac Among Several Stolen Cars Found at a Scrap Shop in Houston

Houston, TX: Authorities were shocked when they discovered many swanky cars in a scrap shop in Houston on Friday. Police arrested a 25-year-old man in connection with robberies of these swanky cars.

Landon Wayne Swonke is accused of stealing at least $300,000. He is out of jail after posting a $25,000 bond. Court records show that police saw Swonke drive away from Stampede Diesel, an auto repair shop at 11354 W. Jones Road, in a stolen car.

Officers went inside after getting a search warrant and found six cars, three of which were stolen, according to reports. The Harris County Sheriff’s Office, the Texas Department of Public Safety, and Homeland Security Investigations all worked together to make the arrest.

HCSO said that cars worth almost $500,000 were found. These included a $170,000 Corvette, a Cadillac Escalade, and a Dodge Charger. Gianpaolo “GP” Macerola, Swonke’s lawyer, refused to say anything. The next court date for him is March 19.
