Honk News – The parents of a one-month-old newborn who was discovered alone at an intersection in Adams County have been charged with child abuse.
It has been reported by the Adam’s County Sheriff’s Office that two parents have been taken into jail after they are accused of abandoning their child in the middle of a Denver intersection on Christmas morning.
Jarvis Sims, 42, and Christina Thurman, 33, were taken into custody by deputies when they were dispatched to 7490 Pecos Street, which is located in the middle of downtown Denver, in response to a report of a baby boy who was one month old and was left in the median wearing only a diaper while sitting in a car seat or carrier.
The arrests came after several hours of following tips and information that deputies were able to obtain, which finally led to the identification of the family members of the youngster who were his biological parents.

As a precautionary measure, the infant was monitored at Children’s Hospital in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
According to a post that the Adam’s County Sheriffs made on Facebook regarding the incident, they expressed their gratitude to the members of the community who acted swiftly to disseminate information and assist in the dissemination of useful information.
