A tragic incident occurred in a Colorado apartment on December 19, where Kimberlee Singler is alleged to have fatally stabbed and shot her 7-year-old son and 9-year-old daughter.
Her 11-year-old daughter miraculously survived multiple stab wounds during the alleged attack. Singler is making a case for remaining in London to avoid the possibility of spending the rest of his life in a Colorado prison without the chance of parole.
Following the transfer of the 11-year-old to foster care, she reportedly confided in a caretaker about a distressing incident involving her mother and her two younger siblings. According to her account, her mother allegedly took the lives of her siblings in their Colorado apartment and instructed her to keep it a secret.
An 11-year-old girl, referred to as M.W., bravely disclosed to authorities that her mother, Kimberlee Singler, had allegedly instructed her and her siblings to consume milk mixed with an unknown substance. The girl recounted the events in court, as relayed by a London prosecutor and reported by the Associated Press.
During the three-day extradition hearing last week, prosecutor Joel Smith revealed that the defendant claimed to have received divine instructions and expressed concerns about the children’s father taking them away.
A woman, aged 36, has been charged with first-degree murder in relation to the tragic deaths of her 7-year-old son and 9-year-old daughter. The Colorado Springs Police Department has also accused her of attempting to murder M.W. After fleeing to the United Kingdom, she was apprehended in a London hotel on December 30.
In a press release issued in December, the police announced that Singler faced additional charges, including multiple counts of child abuse and assault in the first degree.
In accordance with Colorado law, she is facing additional charges of murder and attempted murder, specifically related to acts of violence against children under the age of 12.
Singler and her 11-year-old daughter were hospitalized due to injuries, while the two younger children were tragically discovered deceased in the home.

On Friday, Sept. 6, Fitzgerald expressed her opposition to being extradited to Colorado, citing concerns about potential life imprisonment without parole, which she believes goes against European human rights law.
Fitzgerald contended that it was highly improbable for Colorado Governor Jared Polis to commute her sentence, as it would be detrimental to his political career, according to the AP.
