Charleston Man sent behind Bars for 10 years on Drug Trafficking charges in South Carolina

Charleston, SC: The Charleston man was sentenced by a judge for his guilty pleas in relation to counts of carrying fentanyl, cocaine, crack cocaine, heroin, and marijuana with the intention to distribute, as well as possessing a firearm in the pursuit of a narcotics trafficking offense.

According to evidence given in court, Charleston Police carried out a search warrant at Capers’ residence on March 18, 2022. Prosecutors reported that during the search, law enforcement uncovered a blue backpack containing fentanyl, cocaine, crack cocaine, heroin, marijuana, and a pilfered weapon. According to the authorities, the backpack was found to include a debit card bearing Capers’ name, a medicine bottle also bearing Capers’ name and two movie tickets.

Prosecutors provided evidence demonstrating that law enforcement acquired video recordings of Capers at the cinema and at the specified time indicated on the tickets. Additionally, the backpack had various items such as a whisk, sandwich bags, and a digital scale, which are indicative of involvement in narcotics trafficking.
