Honk News (Nashville, TN) – Casey Deidrick, recognized for his role as Chad DiMera on a popular daytime drama, has been taken into custody following an alleged incident of domestic violence.
A 37-year-old actor was arrested in Nashville, Tennessee, on Sunday, February 2, and processed by the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office at 3:35 p.m. local time, as per online records.
A spokesperson from the Sheriff’s Office verified that Deidrick faces two charges: one for domestic assault and another for obstructing an emergency call.
He was set free on Monday, Feb. 3, at 3:36 a.m. after securing a $2,500 bond.
Deidrick, known for his role on the soap opera and later in the CW series “In the Dark,” reportedly had a tense confrontation with his girlfriend at their Nashville residence on Sunday morning. This incident arose after he suspected she was filming him on her phone without permission.

The actor is said to have taken the phone from his partner before the situation apparently intensified.
Deidrick reportedly asserted that his girlfriend had her hands around his neck; however, authorities discovered no evidence to back up that claim, according to an arrest warrant referenced by the outlet.
She stated that she was “cowered in a corner” of the kitchen during the dispute, informing authorities that Deidrick enveloped her in a bear hug from behind and reportedly snatched her phone from her grasp.
His girlfriend reportedly insisted that he give her back her phone to call emergency services, stating that she was concerned for her safety. Deidrick allegedly gave back her device after assuring she would vacate that very day.
