Authorities arrested Man under the Influence of drugs who assaulted multiple officers and vehicles in Pennsylvania

Luzerne County, PA: The police have filed charges against a man who they say assaulted vehicles and policemen, as well as attempted to assault other individuals while under the influence of drugs.

According to the Wilkes-Barre City Police Department, officers were dispatched to the 500 block of South Main Street on Saturday evening around seven o’clock. At that time, a man, who was later identified as Christian Roldan, 31, from Elizabeth, New Jersey, began attempting to enter the building, punching cars, and attempting to assault people who were walking by.

According to the police, Roldan was said to have followed a person for a number of blocks and pushed a mother who was driving her car with her toddler to run a red light in order to prevent him from getting into her vehicle.

As soon as the officers came and started confronting Roldan, he threatened them and battled with them, attempting to wipe his blood on the officers, as stated in the affidavit.

Paranoia and hallucinations were among the symptoms that Roldan was experiencing while under the influence of a controlled substance, as stated in the documents filed in court.

The charges against Roldan include aggravated assault, assault of a law enforcement officer, public drunkenness, disorderly behavior, and resisting arrest. Roldan has also been charged with resisting arrest. For a bond amount of fifty thousand dollars, he was detained at the Luzerne County Correctional Facility.
