Honk News (Phoenix, AZ) – A Phoenix elementary school teacher faces serious allegations after authorities report that he urinated into a can during class, exposing himself to students.
Curt Hinton’s journey from Army service to English teacher at Wilson Elementary School is highlighted on both the school’s website and his LinkedIn profile.
The Wilson School District has announced that he is presently on temporary leave following his arrest.
Court documents reveal that the event took place on Tuesday, March 18.
Four students, including a 12-year-old boy and three 11-year-old girls, approached the principal to report what they claimed to have seen.
In a shocking turn of events, students were left stunned as their teacher was caught in a compromising situation, urinating into a can right at his desk, following an unexpected sound of running water. Witnesses reported observing his genitals before he made adjustments to his clothing.
During the conversation with officers, Hinton reportedly confessed to urinating in a can during class, yet maintained that he ensured he was adequately covered.
In a surprising turn of events, Hinton revealed that he was at a loss for how to reach out to another teacher for assistance in monitoring his class. Instead, he found himself relying on his military experience, recalling the protocol he followed when he was unable to vacate his position.
Hinton acknowledged repeatedly that his decisions reflected a significant lapse in judgment and that he erred in his actions. He mentioned that he was a newcomer to the school.
A man has been taken into custody facing allegations of four felony counts related to indecent exposure. Following his court appearance, Hinton received a secured appearance bond set at $10,000.
He is set to return to court on March 26.
