Honk News (Albertville, AL) – A man faces charges of rape following a report to the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office regarding a minor who has given birth.
On February 19, authorities in the Marshall County Criminal Investigation Division were alerted to a case involving a minor who had recently given birth. A felony warrant has been secured following the investigation of the complaint.
On February 25, authorities in Marshall County, alongside the Marshall County Drug Task Force and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, charged 26-year-old Manuel Andres Francisco (Tomas) with first-degree rape.
The MCSO reported that a traffic stop on Tuesday night resulted in Toma’s arrest.
The Marshall County Sheriff’s Office reported that Tomas is currently in custody at the Marshall County Jail without bond, awaiting a hearing related to Aniah’s Law.
Authorities indicated that more charges are likely to follow.
