BELL COUNTY, Texas — A 30-year-old man from Taylor has been arrested and charged after a 2-year-old child was hospitalized with serious injuries, according to the Bell County Sheriff’s Office.
Child Hospitalized With Severe Injuries
Authorities said the case began on Sunday, December 14, 2025, when deputies were notified that a young child was being treated at Baylor Scott & White McLane Children’s Hospital in Temple. Medical staff reported that the child’s injuries were severe enough to prompt an immediate investigation.

Deputies arrested Jonse at his residence without incident. He was then booked into the Bell County Jail, where he remains in custody.
Justice of the Peace Cliff Coleman set bond at $250,000 for each charge, totaling $500,000.
Ongoing Investigation
