IDAHO FALLS, Idaho — A two-vehicle collision on Yellowstone Highway late Wednesday morning sent one driver to the hospital with minor injuries, according to the Idaho Falls Police Department (IFPD).
Crash Details
The crash occurred shortly before 12 p.m. near the Fred Meyer and McDonald’s shopping area, where one vehicle was exiting the parking lot.
IFPD spokesperson Jessica Clements said the driver was turning onto Yellowstone Highway when their car was struck by a second vehicle traveling southbound. The impact caused visible damage to both cars and temporarily blocked part of the roadway.
Injuries and Traffic Impact
One driver, who has not been identified, was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries. No other injuries were reported among the people involved.
Southbound lanes of Yellowstone Highway were partially closed for about an hour as police investigated and crews worked to clear the wreckage. Normal traffic flow was restored by early afternoon.

The Idaho Falls Police Department continues to review the circumstances of the collision. No citations or charges have been announced at this time.
