Two Taken to Hospital After Crash on Interstate 680 in Boardman

BOARDMAN, Ohio — Two people were hospitalized Sunday evening after a crash on Interstate 680, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol (OSHP).

Crash Near Route 224

Troopers said the incident occurred shortly after 5 p.m. when a vehicle crashed into the median on I-680 northbound, just north of Route 224 in Boardman. Emergency crews and OSHP responded to the scene within minutes.

One lane in the northbound direction was temporarily closed while crews worked to clear debris and assist the victims. The affected lane reopened around 6 p.m., restoring normal traffic flow.

Two Injured, Cause Under Investigation

Authorities confirmed that two people were transported to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. No other vehicles were reported to be involved in the crash.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation, and officials have not yet released the identities of the individuals involved.
