Man in Serious Condition After Shooting in Baltimore County; Police Launch Investigation

BALTIMORE COUNTY, Md. – A man remains in serious condition after being shot Friday evening in Middle River, prompting an active investigation by Baltimore County Police. Officials said the incident appears to be isolated and that there is no ongoing threat to the public.

According to police, Essex Precinct officers responded around 7 p.m. on November 7 to a shooting call in the 100 block of Riverthorn Road in Middle River. When officers arrived, they found a man suffering from at least one gunshot wound.

Emergency medical personnel treated the victim at the scene before transporting him to a nearby hospital, where he was listed in serious condition late Friday night.

“At this time, the shooting appears to be an isolated incident,” a Baltimore County Police spokesperson confirmed. “Detectives are working to determine the motive and identify all individuals involved.”
