Late-night crash in Los Angeles that was caught on video hurt two people and destroyed eight cars

At least two people were hurt in a terrible crash in a San Fernando Valley area on Saturday night. The crash damaged eight cars and city property.

The Los Angeles Police Department told KTLA on Sunday that on May 24, at 11:42 p.m., they were called to the 14600 block of Polk Street for reports of a two-car accident.

When the police arrived, they saw that eight cars and a street light had been damaged.

The L.A. Fire Department said that two ambulances took people to a nearby hospital, but they didn’t know the victims’ ages, genders, or conditions.

Unconfirmed reports from the stringer service Key News Network said the first crash involved a Chevrolet Camaro and a Ford SUV. Video taken at the scene showed that both cars were severely damaged.

KNN spoke to people who were at the scene of the accident who said that the Ford went flying through a light pole and into a chain link fence in a nearby front yard. At the same time, the Camaro lost control and hit several parked cars on Polk Street.

Reports from KNN, which were not confirmed right away, said that both of the hospitalised patients were the drivers of the Ford and Camaro. The Ford driver was a woman who was taken to the hospital with unknown injuries, and the Camaro driver was a man who was first checked out by medical staff at the scene.

Witnesses also told KNN that the Camaro seemed to be going fast down the street before the crash. Officials haven’t confirmed whether speed played a role in this accident, but neighbours told KTLA that they are tired of seeing cars going fast at that corner all the time.

KTLA heard from some neighbours who said they want a signal light put in that intersection because they’ve seen too many cars speeding down the road.

The LAPD said that they are still trying to figure out what caused the crash, but they did not say if impairment may have played a part.
