Man Arrested on $6 Million Bond after Firing Shots in Hendersonville Parking Lot

A 24-year-old man is being jailed on a $6 million bond after police say he fired many bullets in a Hendersonville parking lot over the weekend. The accusations against him include attempted first-degree murder and fleeing arrest.

Authorities responded to the 100 block of Nokes Drive at 8:45 p.m. on April 18 after receiving a 911 call regarding the gunshot, Hendersonville Police said in a press release.

The culprit, subsequently identified as Daryl Henry Campbell Jr, fled the scene on foot.

Hendersonville Police captured Campbell a short distance from the site and put him into the Sumner County Jail shortly after midnight on April 19.

It was unknown what prompted the shooting or who was targeted.

In addition to attempted murder and avoiding arrest, Campbell is charged with aggravated assault, reckless endangerment, unlawful possession of a weapon while committing a violent felony, and simple possession under Schedule VI.

The announcement stated that he is scheduled to appear in Sumner County General Sessions Court on May 5.
