Additionally, the following people were arrested and face upgraded charges:

  • Darris Moore II, 24, of Harvest
  • Donald Devaney, 52, of Russellville
  • Raul Alvarez-Lopez, 28, of Huntsville

All three have been charged with two counts of human trafficking, two counts of internet solicitation of a juvenile, and two counts of traveling to meet a kid for an illegal sex act.

A court has not yet set a bond for the accused.

“These are exactly the types of predators we are targeting, those talking to kids on apps like Snapchat, where they think we can’t save their disturbing messages,” said Captain Caleb Durden. “We can, and we do, and we plan to use their own words and actions to prosecute them to the fullest extent of the law. What’s most disturbing to me is the position some of these individuals hold in their communities, living double lives and preying on the most vulnerable kids. These predators sought out kids for sex acts, agreed to pay to have sex with children, and then traveled from many different locations to do so before being arrested by my team, who did an outstanding, professional, and thorough job.”

“Parents, please stay vigilant about your children’s online activities. No one ever thinks it will happen to their child, but predators are out there, hiding behind screens, waiting for an opportunity,” said Sheriff Joshua McLaughlin. “Monitor their games, phones, and any internet-connected devices. These special operations are complex and time-consuming, but I could not be more proud of the dedicated professionals with the Limestone County Sheriff’s Office who work tirelessly to protect our community. Since February 2024, these operations have led to 27 arrests in Limestone County, each one a step toward keeping our children safe.”
