Honk News (Siler City, NC) – Last week, two men from North Carolina were taken into custody for allegedly kidnapping and sex trafficking a 15-year-old girl. They were apprehended by police after an Amber Alert was issued, leading to the discovery of the girl with the suspects.
A teenager went missing from her home on February 21, leading to a search by the Siler City Police Department. On Tuesday, the department announced that state authorities and the FBI had joined the effort on Facebook.
Authorities discovered the girl with 23-year-old Ronny Suearez, approximately 20 miles from her home in Siler City, after the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation became involved in the case on Thursday.
The state agency reported that two suspects were swiftly identified. “Assets from the Criminal Apprehension Team were sent to Asheboro and Kingston, where Ronny Suarez and a 15-year-old girl were found at 129 W. Strider Street in Asheboro.”
Authorities reported that they subsequently located the second suspect, Saul Ramirez Guvara, 26, at a Quality Inn hotel in the nearby area of Kinston.
According to WCCB-TV in Charlotte, the victim allegedly connected with her kidnappers via social media.
Authorities report that both individuals are currently in custody at the Chatham County Jail facing charges such as first-degree kidnapping, human trafficking of a child, and soliciting a child via computer.
