Honk News (Titusville, FL) – Earlier this week, a man from Titusville who was accused of having sexual contact with one of the players on the high school girl’s soccer team that he coached accepted a plea deal that will prevent him from being sentenced to prison.
Anthony Gonzales, who was a coach for the junior varsity girl’s soccer team at Titusville High School, was taken into custody in 2023 on allegations of child sex battery following an incident that occurred.
In accordance with the terms of the plea deal, Gonzales entered a plea of no contest to the court on Thursday, pleading guilty to four charges of engaging in illicit sexual behavior with a child.
Gonzales was given a sentence of two years of community control, which means that he will be permitted to reside in his own house and travel to a predetermined list of locations, but he will be required to wear an electronic monitor throughout his time in community control.
