Honk News (Dallas, TX) – A man from Dallas faces allegations of pursuing a woman into her Uptown residence and subsequently assaulting her at her entrance.
Authorities report that he lived next door to the victim. He resided in a unit alongside his mother on the very street where the incident occurred.
Authorities report that a woman exited her residence in the 3100 block of Thomas Avenue at approximately 6 a.m. on Monday to head to her vehicle, as stated in the arrest affidavit.
A woman reported to the police that as she turned the corner at Thomas and Ellis, she encountered a man who was later identified as 21-year-old Evin Bishop, according to the report.
The woman reports that she made eye contact with the Bishop and experienced a sense of unease. She glanced back and noticed him gazing at her, according to the affidavit.
The woman expressed that she felt compelled to refuse Bishop, sensing that something negative was imminent.
The affidavit indicates that Bishop acknowledged with a nod and proceeded to pursue the woman, as detailed in the police report.
The woman reported that she was calling out for assistance while fleeing to her apartment. As she attempted to open her front door, Bishop seized her from behind and committed a sexual assault, as stated in the affidavit.
According to police reports, the incident was recorded by the woman’s Ring camera, which captured approximately nine seconds of action before Bishop fled the scene.

Authorities in Dallas have unveiled images of a suspect and reported that multiple anonymous tips have indicated that this individual, known as Bishop, resides on the same block.
Bishop was taken into custody at his residence on Tuesday afternoon.
