South Carolina Pastor Molested Teen Girl and Justified Molestation Citing Scriptures: Lawsuit Claims

Honk News (Horry County, SC) – A South Carolina pastor, John-Paul Miller, is facing serious allegations in a recent lawsuit, claiming he raped a 15-year-old girl decades ago. This comes after the tragic death of his estranged wife, which authorities have ruled as a suicide last April.

A woman from Indiana has come forward with allegations that Miller sexually assaulted her in 1998 when she was 15 years old and he was 19, serving as a youth church leader, as stated in a complaint submitted on February 25 in Horry County’s Court of Common Pleas.

Jane Doe has accused Miller of inappropriately touching her in a public setting in Myrtle Beach in 2023, according to the complaint.

Approximately half an hour later, Doe reports that the two engaged in a dispute regarding his supposed use of his position as a pastor and referencing scripture to “rationalize inappropriate behavior.” The allegation states that Miller responded, “No man is without sin and temptation.” Divine comprehension is evident, as referenced in a sacred text.

Doe’s complaint highlights that the purported incident in 2023 “brought back repressed memories” of the claimed assault from 1998.

The lawsuit additionally identifies Reginald Wayne Miller, Miller’s father, as a defendant, along with their religious connections, which encompass All Nations Cathedral Church, formerly known as Cathedral Baptist Church of the Grand Strand, and Solid Rock Ministries.

“Behind their religious facade, John-Paul Miller and Reginald Wayne Miller engaged in sexual abuse and predatory conduct — often targeting minors,” reads the complaint. “They used their positions of power to manipulate and exploit vulnerable victims while concealing their actions from the public.”

“Their failure to create and enforce proper policies was not only negligent but reckless and willful, as they ignored clear warning signs and failed to warn minors and their families about the dangers within the church,” the complaint continues.

In the complaint regarding the purported incident from 1998, Jane Doe asserts that she was at a church run by Reginald when John-Paul allegedly compelled her into his father’s office and “immediately became aggressive, physically overpowering Plaintiff and forcing her against the wall.”

According to the complaint, she fought back, but John-Paul took her outside to his truck, where he is accused of assaulting her.

A woman has filed a lawsuit alleging negligence, civil conspiracy, assault and battery, infliction of emotional distress, and a breach of the South Carolina Unfair Trade Practices Act.

John-Paul gained attention following the tragic discovery of his estranged wife Mica Miller, 30, who was found deceased at a state park on April 27, 2024, in Robeson County, N.C. Authorities later ruled her death a suicide. During that period, the couple was apart, and Mica had initiated legal separation proceedings against him.
