Missouri Couple Arrested after They Molested Child; Slapped with Sexual Battery and Abuse: Authorities

Honk News (Lafayette, MO) – On Friday, a man and a woman were taken into custody for a child sex crime, as reported by the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Department.

On Tuesday, February 11, the Sheriff’s Office reported that an individual came into their offices to file a report regarding a previous incident of sexual battery and molestation involving a child.

The Sheriff’s Office announced that they have begun an investigation, resulting in the arrest of 41-year-old Catherine and Marcus Tyson on charges related to the sexual battery of a child under 14 years old.

The Lafayette County Justice Court has set the bond for Mr. and Mrs. Tyson at $75,000, according to LCSO.

Recently, a 45-year-old man from Bedford is now in custody after a quickly developing investigation into child molestation, according to authorities from the Indiana State Police. He is facing:

  • One charge of child molestation, classified as a Level 1 felony
  • One charge of sexual battery, classified as a Level 6 felony
  • One charge of neglecting a dependent, classified as a Level 6 felony

Documents from the court indicate that Ericksen’s pretrial conference is scheduled for March 19, and the jury trial is set to begin on June 25. Ericksen is now in custody at the Lawrence County Jail.
