Honk News (Sacramento, CA) – During a routine stroll at John Strauch Park in South Natomas, Goretti Deanda’s maltipoo, Chloe, tragically lost her life after being attacked by a group of “wolf dogs.”
“They came out of nowhere and they just started attacking Chloe,” said Deanda. “They were just huge.”
Officials have verified that the creatures are hybrids of wolves and dogs, and they have been spotted wandering in the vicinity.
At first, there were five wolf dogs, but now just one is still on the loose.
“I just hope animal control gets all of them,” said Deanda.
Following multiple reports, Vice Mayor Karina Talamantes issued a caution to the community.
“They were scared to go outside, or they were scared to go on walks with their pets,” Talamantes told KCRA 3.

Last week marked the beginning of sightings in locations such as Discovery Park and South Natomas.
Authorities have verified that a minimum of two dogs have fallen victim to these wolf hybrids.
“We need everybody to send us the location as soon as they see them,” said Talamantes.
