Honk News (Southington, CT) – A man from Southington was taken into custody on Monday following accusations of having sexually assaulted a minor last year, as reported by state police.
Dylan Martin, 21, faces serious charges including second-degree sexual assault, risk of injury to a minor, illegal sexual contact with a victim under age 16, and third-degree possession of child pornography.
An investigation that began in November has led to charges, following a report from the Hampden County, Massachusetts State’s Attorney’s Office to state police regarding an alleged sexual assault that took place in Haddam in October.

Authorities in Massachusetts were investigating a report of a missing young person when the individual informed them that on the night of their disappearance, they had been collected by their “boyfriend” and taken to a cabin in Connecticut.
The young victim reported that they had been in contact via Snapchat, and their exchanges involved explicit images.
Martin has been released after posting a bond of $150,000 and is set to appear in Middletown Superior Court on January 28.
