Honk News (Marion County, FL) – A Florida man was taken into custody last week by deputies on several sexual charges related to a minor.
The individual has been identified by the Marion County Sheriff’s Office as 31-year-old Brandon Michael Angevine.
Documents indicate that Angevine is confronting allegations that involve sexual battery against a victim under the age of 12, all while he was already detained for possessing child pornography and unlawfully using a two-way communication device to aid in a felony.
Authorities have reported that Angevine is presently incarcerated in the Marion County Jail, where he remains without bond.
Authorities reported that on August 29, they were alerted by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children about a Kik account that had uploaded several files containing child sexual abuse material to the platform.

Officials revealed that their investigation uncovered Angevine as the individual responsible for uploading the file.
On November 8, deputies noted that a second tip had been received, suggesting that Angevine had uploaded more files in a private chat with another Kik user.
Following the results of the preliminary inquiry, authorities announced that a warrant has been issued for Angevine’s arrest.
On December 12, it was reported that Angevine was taken into custody due to a warrant involving multiple charges related to child pornography and the unlawful use of a communication device for criminal purposes.
During the ongoing investigation, detectives secured a search warrant for Angevine’s cell phone, uncovering further evidence that resulted in his arrest on additional charges related to the possession of illicit material and the unlawful use of a communication device in connection with a felony.
Authorities have disclosed that they received an additional tip suggesting that Angevine transmitted a video of himself engaging in sexual acts with a minor through a private message on Kik.
Authorities reported that they reached out to Angevine, who confessed to creating the video, penned an apology letter, and disclosed that he had assaulted the child.
Investigators suspect that Angevine could have more victims.
