Lawsuit Alleges Trans Inmate Sexually Assaulted Female Cellmate in Washington Women’s Prison

A former inmate at a women’s prison in Washington state has filed a lawsuit alleging that she was subjected to repeated sexual assaults by her large transgender cellmate, who had been transferred to the facility following a change in gender identity.

Mozzy Clark has filed a lawsuit against the State Department of Corrections in federal court, claiming that she was confined in a cell with a 6-foot-4 convicted child molester who purportedly harassed her for months with stalking, threats of violence, and sexual assault, as stated in the legal complaint.

A cellmate named Christopher Scott Williams faced conviction for the sexual assault of a young girl and was also serving time for domestic abuse.

According to the lawsuit, Williams subsequently sought acknowledgment as female and requested a transfer to a women’s prison.

After the state approved the request to house Williams with Clark, she claimed her existence turned into a harrowing ordeal.

Records from the State Department of Corrections indicate that Williams is categorized as female at the Washington Corrections Center for Women.

Clark alleged that Williams, who occupied the top bunk, would make threats of sexual violence, gaze at her while she showered, and repeatedly solicit sexual acts — including an incident involving a makeshift dildo he had smuggled into the cell, as stated in the lawsuit.

“In their cell, Ms. Clark was on the bottom bunk. Mr. Williams … would hover menacingly over Ms. Clark’s bunk with an erection while touching himself. He would also display his erection to Ms. Clark against her will, and gesture towards it, saying how much he wanted her,” the lawsuit alleged.

According to the lawsuit, Ms. Clark experienced a disturbing incident when she awoke to find inmate Williams positioned on the floor beside her bed, with his arm beneath her blanket and inappropriately touching her.

Clark expressed that the guards offered minimal support when she raised her concerns. Ultimately, Williams was relocated to a different cell, yet the inmate continued to pursue her, watching her in the showers and trailing her into the bathroom — reportedly making lewd remarks from the adjacent stall, according to the documents.

Clark is not the sole woman alleging mistreatment by Williams.

In August, a different inmate reported inappropriate and intimidating conduct by Williams and other transgender inmates at the Washington Corrections Center for Women during an interview with the National Review.
