Man Paid Rent of Financially Struggling Mom and Molested Her Teen Daughter as Leverage; Arrested in Virginia

A Chesapeake man was sentenced in Norfolk in 2021 for using financial influence to sexually abuse a minor.

According to court records, 41-year-old Christopher Digges moved in with a lady who was struggling financially after volunteering to help pay her rent in 2021. Digges repeatedly engaged in sexual behavior with the woman’s child and directed her to perform sexual actions in order to make Child Sexual Abuse Material.

Digges purchased a home in Chesapeake on October 18, 2021, and moved the mother and child in. Digges told the child that he bought the house for her and used it to control her when she wasn’t available to him.

Digges struck the kid in addition to sexually abusing her, and threatened to seize her belongings if she did not comply with his requests or demands.

Digges continued to coerce and abuse her until 2023 when she was 14 years old. In July 2023, the mother informed law authorities that Digges had engaged in sexually explicit conduct with the child and had created and received CSAM.

He was sentenced to 29 years in jail for coercing and enticing a minor.

The government received $169,462.62 from the sale of the Chesapeake house.
