Police Find Human Skeletal Remains in Tempe Man’s Freezer; Suspect Arrested

Tempe police apprehended an individual during an investigation that uncovered human bone remains within a freezer located in his backyard.

Detectives received a lead prior to contacting Joseph Hill Jr., 51, regarding a potential corpse in his backyard freezer. On Tuesday, they requested to inspect the contents of the freezer.

Hill refused to permit the cops to inspect but remarked that his father had passed away four years prior.

Following the acquisition of a search warrant, officers discovered the body and apprehended Hill.

He is charged with two offenses:

  • Concealing of a Body, Classified as a Class 5 Felony, and
  • Failure to Report a Death, Classified as a Class 2 Misdemeanor.

The identification of the corpse remains undetermined.
