Man Posed as 17-year-old and Molested Teen at His Home; Messaged and Told Victim to Keep Quiet as “He would go to Jail”

Based on the information provided by the Lancaster County District Attorney’s Office, a man from Lancaster County was given a sentence of three to ten years in jail for the repeated sexual assault of a minor in the year 2023.

Yadiel Alexis Diaz, 20, of Pequea Township, allegedly sexually abused a minor at his residence on three separate occasions between the months of June and July of 2023, according to the District Attorney’s Office.

According to the reports, Diaz would pick up the victim late at night and then bring them back to their house early the next morning. Diaz allegedly refused to quit despite being instructed to do so during their final encounter, according to the District Attorney’s Office.

According to the District Attorney’s Office, Diaz, who was 18 years old at the time, introduced himself to the victim over social media, telling them that he was 17 years old and threatening that “we can’t tell anybody” or he would be sent to jail.

As a result of Diaz’s guilty plea, Judge Thomas Spongaugle handed down his punishment, according to the District Attorney’s Office.
