Doctor Arrested after Authorities Busted Horrific Sexual Abuse Materials; Wife Tipped Police about Hidden Cameras Recording

A Metro Detroit physician has been arrested and is currently being held on a $2 million bond. It is alleged that over the course of several years, the physician recorded numerous nude images of children and women.

Oumair Aejaz has been alleged to have surreptitiously installed cameras in various private spaces, including changing rooms, bathrooms, bedrooms, closets, hospital rooms, and others, with the intention of capturing individuals while they were changing.

During a press conference on Tuesday, Aug. 20, the Oakland County sheriff and Prosecutor Karen McDonald expressed their dismay, stating that it was one of the most challenging cases they have ever encountered. Sheriff Mike Bouchard stated that it is difficult to determine the number of victims due to the large quantity, and confirmed that Aejaz had indeed committed sexual abuse.

The crimes had allegedly been occurring for a minimum of six years.

According to reports, Aejaz was a contract physician who mainly worked at Ascension Genesys and Henry Ford Macomb Hospital, but it’s possible that he also treated patients at other locations. Reports suggest that cameras were used to capture images at the Goldfish Swim School in Rochester, although there is no concrete evidence of a camera being installed there.

An investigation was launched after Aejaz’s wife alerted authorities on Aug. 7. Authorities seized a total of six computers, four cell phones, and 15 hard drives during the execution of a search warrant. Reportedly, a single hard drive allegedly stored more than 13,000 videos that Aejaz had recorded in the past six years.

Reports have emerged of a disturbing video showing a possible incident of sexual assault involving Aejaz and an unconscious woman at a hospital. There are other videos where he engages in similar behavior, according to reports.

Bouchard mentioned that it may take around six months to thoroughly examine the evidence they have collected thus far, indicating the possibility of additional evidence. According to him, the Sheriff’s Office might have to establish a task force if the investigation grows in size.

The victims identified thus far include individuals of various ages, from young children to adults.

The bond has been set at $2 million.
