Arizona Prison Sergeant Molested Co-Workers; Arrested after Co-worker Nearly Dodged Kidnapping Attempt

A former state prison sergeant was indicted on three felony counts, alleging that he sexually abused a coworker at the Lewis State Prison complex in Buckeye earlier this month. The allegations were made against him according to the indictment.

According to Maricopa County Attorney Rachel Mitchell, Ramon Godoy, who is 33 years old, was indicted on charges of kidnapping, sexual abuse, and attempted sexual assault on a female jail officer.

On July 7, Godoy instructed the woman to meet him inside a gymnasium located within the jail complex. This occasion marked the beginning of the event.

According to the allegations, Godoy sexually molested the victim while he was holding her in a chokehold. Several times, the woman reportedly told him “No” and “Stop,” as stated in the court documents.

According to MCAO, the woman in question sustained injuries to her body, and she went to the police to report the incident.

After some time had passed, Godoy was taken into custody there while he was working.

Godoy entered a guilty plea during an interview with the police and disclosed to the authorities that he had previously been subjected to workplace complaints for groping and making sexual comments to other employees.

The bond for Godoy was set at $75,000, and he was put into jail in Maricopa County as reported by AZ Central.
