Chicago, IL: The punishment of fifteen years in prison was handed down on Wednesday to Eric Ross, who is 36 years old and lives in Chicago, Illinois. He was found guilty of “attempting to entice and coerce a 12-year-old child into sexual activity as well as for distributing and possessing child pornography.”
In his guilty plea, Ross admitted that he sent sexually explicit text messages to two different individuals between October 22, 2021 and November 6, 2021. He believed that one of the recipients was an adult who was offering the sexual services of a 12-year-old girl, and the other was the 12-year-old girl who was attempting to entice the child into engaging in sexual acts with him.
Additionally, Ross admitted that he circulated child pornography through the use of an internet messaging application. Ross stated that on November 6, 2021, he went to a motel in Colonie with the intention of engaging in sexual actions with the girl who was 12 years old.

However, he was detained by law enforcement immediately after arriving at the place despite his intentions to participate in sexual acts with the girl. As of the time of his arrest, Ross was in possession of child pornography, according to the police reporting.
The United States District Judge Mae A. D’Agostino also sentenced Ross to pay $3,000 in reparations to a victim whose photographs he possessed, and she ordered him to surrender the device that contained the child pornography.
In addition, she imposed a sentence of 25 years of parole following his release. According to the terms of his release from prison, Ross will be obliged to register as a sexual offender.
