Authorities in Ohio say a father was sent to the hospital after his 9-year-old son ran him over.
A residence in Toledo’s 100 block of Carbon Street was the crime scene at about 1 p.m. on Sunday. The event was captured on surveillance footage from a property across the street.
Clejuan Williams, 36, is seen within the driver’s side open door jam. Williams allegedly instructed the youngster to press the brake, but the youngster was confused about which pedal to use. The reverse gear was engaged the second he pressed the accelerator.
As the car reverses into the street and crashes into a telephone pole, the footage reveals that it drags Williams along with it. Williams is dragged under the vehicle and subsequently crushed. Rushing him to the hospital, paramedics arrived. The police have not disclosed his condition.
Authorities said he was under the influence of alcohol when the incident occurred. The youngster was unharmed. There was another kid in the backseat who was unharmed.
The charges against Williams include child endangerment and wrongfully entrusting a person without a license, as stated in the papers. On October 16th, he is due in court.
Investigators are still looking into the incident.
