A man from Twin Falls County was taken into custody on Thursday for allegedly engaging in sexual exploitation of a minor.
A 59-year-old man named Daniel DeKruyf has been arrested on 20 felony counts related to child exploitation, as stated in a news release by Idaho Attorney General Raúl Labrador. The charges listed in court documents span from February to August 2024.
An arrest was made by the Idaho Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force and local police departments.
“Each arrest made by our ICAC Task Force signifies the rescue of numerous vulnerable children who have been exploited and abused,” Labrador stated. Our responsibility is to thoroughly investigate, apprehend, and bring these criminals to justice, ensuring the safety of our communities. I deeply appreciate the dedication and effort put forth by our ICAC Task Force, as well as the valuable collaborations they are establishing throughout our state.
DeKruyf’s preliminary hearing is scheduled for 8:15 a.m. on Friday, August 30th, as stated in court documents.
