5 Arrested by FBI As Drug Ring Busted With International Roots in Los Angeles

Los Angeles, CA: Several individuals were apprehended by the FBI on Wednesday in a crackdown on a criminal organization involved in drug trafficking across borders. The operation was centered in Los Angeles, according to authorities.

Aerial footage captured a scene of several unidentified vehicles surrounding a residence, with a sizable group of individuals gathered in the driveway, attentively listening to a Homeland Security officer.

The identities of the suspects have been released:

  • Yangqiang Chen, 45, of Monterey Park
  • Jie Chen, 40, of Rosemead
  • Mei-Mei Chen, 41, of Rosemead
  • Guorong He, 50, of Rosemead
  • Yien He, 32, of Rosemead

The FBI has confirmed that a home in the LA area was among several locations where numerous individuals were apprehended by an international drug trafficking organization. However, the FBI did not provide any specific details regarding the arrests.
