Honk News (Allen Parish, LA) – A Louisiana mother is in legal trouble following a 911 call from a worried citizen, who reported that her young child had been abused and was found in a trash bag.
According to a press release from the Allen Parish Sheriff’s Office, Haily Bellard, 21, is facing serious charges including second-degree cruelty to juveniles, aggravated battery, and domestic abuse battery.
A call was made to the agency on Thursday, leading to the allegations. The agency reported that a citizen contacted the 911 service to inform them about the condition of a young child.
Deputies arrived at the scene and discovered a 4-year-old with injuries indicative of being hit multiple times in the back and leg, according to the press release.
Throughout the inquiry, authorities discovered that the child sustained injuries following an alleged disciplinary action taken by the mother. It is claimed that she repeatedly employed a plastic utensil on the child and subsequently had the child don a plastic trash bag as attire.

Officials reported that the child was transported by ambulance to the Allen Parish Hospital for treatment and was subsequently released.
Authorities reported that detectives arrived on the scene, engaged with witnesses, and later took the mother into custody.
Bellard, known as Haily Bellard Bennett, has been taken into custody at the Allen Parish Jail. She is anticipating a bond hearing.
