A tragic incident unfolded in Houston as four siblings, aged 10, 14, 15, and 16, were shot inside their home on Thursday night. The perpetrators believed to be masked gunmen, are suspected to be teenagers, according to the police.
A group of individuals wearing masks approached a residence located at Collier Street and Carrolton Street, in close proximity to Brays Bayou in SE Houston, shortly after 9 p.m.
Assistant Police Chief Megan Howard reported that family members were outside when they approached the door and began calling for individuals to exit the residence.
According to Howard, the family members noticed the individuals approaching with guns and tried to seek shelter inside. Eventually, the door was opened and it is believed that two of the suspects fired their pistols into the house.
A 10-year-old and three teenagers were shot. According to a family member, the two brothers and two sisters are all siblings, as reported by KPRC 2’s T.J. Parker. According to reports, a 15-year-old boy sustained a gunshot wound to the stomach and is currently receiving medical care in the ICU. As of Friday morning, he is being assisted with a breathing tube.

According to the police, the three remaining children sustained injuries to their arms or legs.
According to Howard, the household consists of multiple generations, and there were other family members present at the time of the shooting.
The family is aware of the individual responsible, according to a relative who spoke with KPRC 2’s T.J. Parker. According to reports, the individuals responsible for the recent attack on the family’s truck are believed to be the same teenagers.
A nearby resident recently experienced a concerning incident involving gunfire, resulting in a bullet hitting their home. Fortunately, no one was harmed.
Authorities have confirmed that the shooting seems to have been directed at specific individuals. Despite the fact that the suspects managed to escape on foot, law enforcement officials have reassured the public that there is no immediate danger.
Additionally, they mentioned their efforts to gather reliable information that will aid in swiftly identifying and apprehending the individuals involved.
Authorities are also reaching out to neighbors to inquire about any potential surveillance footage.
