$2M Meth Seizure in Houston Linked to Illegal Immigrants; 2 Arrested by Authorities

Working with Harris County District Attorney Kim Ogg, the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) Houston Division reported on Wednesday the street seizure of meth valued at $2 million.

“Clan meth labs are like ticking time bombs and have no place in our communities,” DEA Houston tweeted on X.

Officers raided the north Houston meth lab and Ogg reported two Mexican nationals, Sebastian Valencia, 33, and Abraham Hernandez, 34, were taken into custody.

Since then, both individuals have been accused with possessing with intention to deliver more than 400 grams of methamphetamine.

Several law enforcement agencies—including the Montgomery County Constable’s Office, the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, and the Houston Police Department—participated in the probe.

Chief Agent in Charge According to Danny Cuomo, officials are trying to ascertain whether Valencia and Hernandez belonged to any cartels or gangs and any other affiliations the accused might have had. He claimed he thinks Mexican cartels are most certainly involved.

According to the DEA, they closed over twenty meth laboratories in the Houston region last year.
