CECIL COUNTY, Maryland – Two people were killed and two were hurt in a shooting in Maryland. A 23-year-old man from Delaware was caught in connection with the crime.
Justice Schmeek Pratt has been named as the suspect. There are charges against Pratt for second-degree murder, assault, careless endangerment, and other gun-related crimes. He was caught at a house in Delaware on December 4.
With a search warrant, the cops also went to the house and found two 9mm pistols and a lot of bullets.
Investigators say Pratt had something to do with a shooting that killed someone at a party in Elkton, Maryland.
At around 6 a.m. on November 2, Maryland State Troopers were called to Chestnut Drive in Elkton. There, they found a party where some people were fighting. Police think the suspect, who was later named as Pratt, shot into the crowd when the fight moved outside of the house.
When the police arrived that morning, they saw a guy lying on the ground with what looked like gunshot wounds. They took him to the hospital for care, and he lived.
Two more people were driven to area hospitals by other people. Two people were hurt. Tamir Rasheek Davis, 26, was declared dead at the hospital. The other person who was hurt was treated, but her name is not being released at this time.
Later that same morning, at 107.2 miles, a fourth body was found lying on the side of I-95 South. He was later found to be Darius Anthony Blalock, who is 26 years old. At the scene, he was declared dead.
At the moment, Pratt is waiting for his first court hearing in Cecil County.
