2 Teens Arrested in New Orleans on Weapon & Arson Charges; Machine Gun also Confiscated

New Orleans, LA: The New Orleans Police Department has arrested three people in connection with two shootings that happened in the Central Business District. NOPD said that Bryceson Jones, 17, and another male teen aged 16 years have been arrested.

Two counts of attempted second-degree murder, two counts of aggravated assault with a firearm, one count of aggravated arson, one count of obstruction of justice, one count of illegal use of weapons, and one count of illegal ownership of a machine gun are among the many charges against them.

The Orleans Parish Sheriff’s Office website says that Jones’s bond of more than $1 million. The arrested teens are due to go to court for the first time in March.

Police say the shooting took place at Carondelet and Common streets around 4:30 p.m. The NOPD said that a guy and a woman were shot and taken to the hospital. No one knows what’s wrong with them.
