Round Lake, IL: Two juveniles have been charged with a second threat after allegedly making a bomb threat at a school in far north suburban Round Lake.
They are facing serious charges of disorderly conduct. According to Round Lake Police, two juveniles deliberately made a bomb threat to the nurse’s office at Magee Middle School around 1 p.m. on Feb. 21.
Just before, authorities reported that the duo utilized an application to contact Round Lake Middle School in Round Lake Heights and threatened to detonate a bomb at the school.
Students and staff were evacuated safely as police and a bomb-sniffing dog from Great Lakes Naval Station conducted a search.
The District 116 superintendent assured families that they prioritize safety and will thoroughly investigate all concerns.
It was not disclosed by the police department whether the juveniles were students at the impacted schools. The identities of the juveniles have not been made public by the authorities.
