Honk News (Laurel County, KY) – Authorities in Madison County have taken two individuals into custody, facing charges related to the sexual assault of a minor.
Officials reported that on January 16, 2025, they were summoned to support the Department for Community-Based Services, resulting in an investigation that culminated in arrest warrants for Joshua and Patrick Hacker.
Authorities report that Patrick was taken into custody on March 20 in Estill County by Kentucky State Police and faces the following charges:
- first-degree sexual abuse
- incest
- first-degree rape
- first-degree sodomy
- second-degree sodomy
- first-degree strangulation (non-domestic)

Additionally, authorities have indicated that Joshua was taken into custody by the Laurel County Sheriff’s Office on March 20 and faces the following charges:
- first-degree sexual abuse
- incest- person less than 12
- first-degree rape- victim less than 12
- first-degree sodomy
- second-degree sodomy
Patrick has been taken into custody at the Madison County Detention Centre, while Joshua is currently held at the Laurel County Detention Centre.
Authorities have stated that the probe is still ongoing.
