17-year-old Molested by Man who gave Her Drugs and Alcohol; Suspect Arrested in Nebraska for Alleged Assault

A Lincoln man allegedly sexually assaulted a teenager after reportedly giving her pills and alcohol.

A 26-year-old named Chase Barker has been charged with one count of intentional child abuse by prosecutors on Wednesday. An arrest affidavit reveals that the investigation into Barker dates back to late June.

Police responded to an incident at Bryan West on June 23 involving a sexual assault. A 17-year-old girl provided details about various actions Barker made in June during their conversation.

The affidavit states that Barker had been supplying the teenager with various pills, including Percocet and Xanax, which the girl was unable to identify. According to the police report, alcohol was also provided to her.

Authorities claim Barker is accused of engaging in sexual assault with the girl while she was under the influence of substances, and it is alleged that he administered four tattoos using a home tattoo kit.

Court records reveal that text messages exchanged between Barker and the girl support the allegations that she was given pills, alcohol, and Xanax. Authorities discovered two prescription pill bottles during a search of Barker’s residence, which were not prescribed to him.

During his arraignment on Wednesday, a judge in Lancaster County determined Barker’s bond to be set at 10% of $350,000. His next court appearance is set to take place on Sept. 24.
