Honk News (Seattle, WA) – A mother from Seattle faces charges for the alleged murder of her son, accused of fatally beating him with an extension cord.
Several reports from different news stations referred to a police affidavit, indicating that Denaya Young is accused of striking her son under the belief that he had failed to finish his chores.
According to reports from various outlets referencing the medical examiner, it was revealed that Young’s 14-year-old son endured a staggering 1,172 injuries from the beating he sustained prior to his tragic death on January 30.
A report indicates that the medical examiner suspects the teenager’s death was caused by Sudden Inflammatory Response Syndrome, a condition where the body directs excessive blood flow to various injuries, overwhelming the heart’s capacity to cope.
According to the affidavit, Young purportedly informed the police that she had “lost count” of the number of times she struck her son.
According to reports, the teen’s three siblings were present in the home during the purported fatal beating.
A young individual faces charges of second-degree murder related to the death of her son. It remains uncertain whether she has secured legal representation or submitted a plea.
