Ali Aldemar Moreno, a resident of Palm Coast, has been taken into custody by the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office following allegations of sexually assaulting an 11-year-old child.
The arrest report reveals that Moreno had been communicating with the victim via Snapchat since October 2. He was posing as a 15-year-old by the name of Leo.
On October 7, Moreno requested a meeting with the victim and intended to pick her up from her school bus stop in St. Augustine.
The victim reported to authorities that Moreno molested her in an empty lot. It was uncovered that he recorded the event.
Footage from a license plate reader and video surveillance captured Moreno’s vehicle in the vicinity during the incident.
The victim confidently recognized Moreno and his vehicle in a photo lineup.
On October 8, the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office carried out surveillance at Moreno’s residence. He was apprehended during a routine traffic stop. The arrest report indicates that he faced similar charges in Edgewater.
Authorities discovered videos of child sexual abuse on his phones, including footage of the incident itself.
A 21-year-old individual is confronting several serious allegations, which encompass two counts related to sexual battery against a victim under the age of 12, along with one count concerning the possession of CSAM.
He remains in custody with no option for bond.
