Eleven people were stabbed Sunday evening at a homeless mission in Salem, Oregon, and police said a male suspect was in custody.
All of the victims were sent to a local hospital with “varying types of injuries,” according to police.
It occurred at the Union Gospel Mission, which helps “men, women, and children break free from homelessness through the transforming grace of Jesus Christ,” according to their website.
The motive for the attack and the name of the culprit remained unknown.
