10-year-old Squeezed to Death after Foster Mother Sat on Him as Punishment; Woman Faces Sentence for Heartless Killing in Michigan

Honk News (Berrien County, MI) – A tragic incident occurred in Michigan where a 10-year-old boy lost his life after his foster mother, who weighed 340 pounds, sat on him for five minutes as a form of punishment for his behavior.

Jennifer Wilson reported to authorities that Dakota Stevens had run away from her residence earlier that day, and that he was acting out after she brought him back from a neighbor’s home.

Wilson reported that the 91-pound boy threw himself onto the front lawn outside her home. She then sat on him while calling his caseworker, as he screamed and eventually ceased moving, according to court documents reviewed by Express US.

She informed the authorities that she initially believed the boy was pretending to be injured until she observed that his eyelids had turned pale when she turned him over. A court affidavit revealed that the foster mother seemed “visibly distraught” upon the arrival of police, who discovered Dakota unresponsive and lacking a pulse.

He was transported by helicopter to a local hospital, but unfortunately, the medical team was unable to save him. Two days later, the child was removed from life support, only a month after being placed in Wilson’s care.

Alarming Authorities have reportedly uncovered footage from a ring camera that captures a chilling 20-second moment of Wilson sitting on the head and neck of a small figure, as the desperate screams slowly fade into silence.

Upon coming to the shocking realization of her actions, Wilson urgently instructed one of her other children to dial 911. The footage captured her frantic cries as she repeatedly called out the boy’s name upon realizing he had ceased to breathe.

Wilson could be sentenced to six years behind bars if found guilty. A spokesperson from the Department of Child Services has confirmed that her foster parent license is currently suspended and under review for potential permanent revocation, despite her fostering three other children in her Berrien County home.
