1-year-old Girl Tossed out of Window by Wisconsin Man after Heated Altercation with Girl’s Mother; Suspect Arrested

Honk News (Milwaukee, WI) – A Wisconsin man is now behind bars facing felony charges after allegedly throwing a baby over a second-story balcony.

Jaimann Eiland, 31, was taken into custody on March 15 following allegations from prosecutors that he “intentionally threw” a 1-year-old girl from the balcony of the Milwaukee, Wisconsin residence belonging to the child’s mother, Shakira Walters, whose age remains undisclosed.

A criminal complaint acquired by WITI, a local Fox affiliate, reveals that an argument broke out between Walters and Eiland on March 13 after she heard her baby crying. WITI has revealed that the confrontation intensified, with Eiland reportedly grabbing a knife and warning Walters, “You gon’ die today.”

A heated argument escalated, culminating in Eiland reportedly seizing the young girl by her head, suspending her over the second-story balcony, and releasing her onto the wet lawn below, just avoiding an air conditioning unit. Eiland subsequently went back to the residence, as stated in the complaint, and reportedly assaulted Walters.

WISN, a local ABC affiliate, spoke to Walters who told the outlet of the little girl, “She could’ve died. She could’ve gotten really hurt from that, and I’m just mad.” Walters told WISN that despite the fall, the little girl only suffered minor bruising. But she told the outlet that she believed that Eiland “was definitely trying to kill my baby.”

In a shocking turn of events, a criminal complaint reveals that the investigation was triggered when officers arrived at Froedtert Hospital. There, Walters presented herself and her baby following an alleged altercation with Eiland, noted to be the ex-husband of Walters’ mother.

It has revealed that the infant received care for minor injuries, while Walters underwent treatment for a sprained finger and a forehead laceration that necessitated three stitches. Walters was seen with a swollen hand and experiencing pain in one of her legs, while her shirt bore stains of blood.

Authorities revealed in the legal document that a knife with blood on it was discovered at the residence.

In a shocking revelation during a police interview following Eiland’s arrest, he allegedly described a disturbing incident where he and Walters were involved in a “tug-of-war” with the baby, before he purportedly threw her off the balcony. Eiland acknowledged that the altercation escalated following the baby’s fall, yet he maintained that he did not exceed reasonable limits.

Eiland has been taken into custody at the Milwaukee County Jail following charges of significant battery with a domestic abuse enhancement and child abuse.

Following his court appearance on March 17, bail was established at $15,000. Should he manage to post bail, he will be mandated to wear an electronic monitoring device upon his release. Upon release, he must refrain from any communication with Walters and other relatives.

The next court date is set for March 24.
