Following the discovery of a deceased 1-day-old baby in Woodland Hills on Tuesday, police launched a homicide investigation.
The Los Angeles Police Department said that shortly before six o’clock in the evening, a woman who looked to have given birth showed up at a Woodland Hills hospital, sparking the start of the inquiry.
After the woman appeared at an emergency room, according to the police, they went to her home near Burbank Boulevard and Woodlake Avenue.
Police discovered the newborn dead when they arrived. The baby is thought to be one day old as per ABC News.
According to police, they are looking into the death as a homicide. Additional information was not immediately accessible.
