Rachel Anne McAdams is a Canadian actress. She had starred as Irene Adler in Warner Brothers’ and Village Roadside’s modern account of the famous detective, Sherlock Holmes.
The character Adler is Sherlock’s love interest, and the one individual capable of outsmarting the man who sees it all. Tricky and smartly treacherous, if not more so than Sherlock himself, the character is a joy to watch on screen, as she gives a tight challenge for those who dare to cross her intellectually and also physically.
Despite appearing in only one narrative, A Scandal in Bohemia, she is the only actress who remains one of cinema’s most notable female characters of Sherlock Holmes lore.
And though the actress appears in the first two installments doing the character justice an unfortunate turn of events in the sequel has the fans wondering if there is any way that she can come back.
In the movie Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows, Irene Adler is murdered in a public restaurant during the first third of the film.
However, not much evidence is presented to confirm the fact, as nobody often means no crime in the world of detective based fiction and, as one of the fan notes, the writers expect viewers to take the word of a man notoriously deceitful.
Within the first twenty minutes of the movie Game of Shadows Irene is murdered. But the simple reasoning for this is that we never see a body examination or grave. She might not be dead at all.
The character Irene is very skilled at her job. Knowing the warnings that Holmes gave to her immediately before her meeting with Moriarty, and the criminal mastermind nature of her boss, it seems unlikely that she would drink anything given to her at the first place that he arrived at first.
Fans think that she might not be dead because of her skillful and untrustworthy nature. She might have escaped her death.
